GREENFORD PARK SECURITY FENCINGThe Company won a substantial security and general fencing contract with John Sisk & Son Ltd regenerating part of a brown field site for Brixton plc. The Betta Group had proposed, provided drawings and samples of different fencing systems, in order to meet the Brixton plc brief.
John Sisk & Son Ltd had planned in a tight three-phase contract, which called for good management, and liaison skills with fellow subcontract ground and landscape Companies, in order to meet tight deadlines and profit margins.
The Betta Pro Mesh system was offered in order to meet the three criteria of security, non-intrusive and reasonable cost. The profiled weldmesh system provides a rigid panel that is quickly and easily fixed to RHS posts with security bolts and cones. The Company supplied heights of 2400 and 4000 mm in both powder coated green and black.
The versatility of the standard RX Betta Security Railing System meant it was easily and economically adapted to match the design brief of having steel channel horizontal rails. The Company provided the system in heights of 1250, 1650 and 2400 with some being free standing and others fixed to retaining walls.
Site sub-stations were protected with 2400 high heavy double-sided hit and miss timber fencing and gates using sustainable softwood pressure treated with Tanalith E.
A heavy but balanced specification was used for the knee Rail fencing and again produced from sustainable softwood pressure treated with Tanalith E.
Galvanised and galvanised / powder coated Key Clamp was installed in various locations, the canal basin fence being particularly interesting but fraught with difficulties whilst installing.
The welded tubular safety handrail on the external steps, were left to the last possible moment to manufacture and install to ensure a perfect fit.
The contract was often difficult and frustrating, but also interesting to implement, and the Company believes it met all the design, cost and programme criteria the client required. Click here to browse our product range.
